The FTC girls are getting ready to hit the road for another season! Now that the weather is finally getting nice (please stay!!!) we’re officially launching into our second year this weekend! We’ve spent the (brutal) Winter months planning and stocking our truck with fabulous new merchandise. We can’t wait to show off our awesome new finds we think you will LOVE. We’re literally bursting with excitement. We’ve missed seeing our favourite faces at each of our truck stops – we have so much to catch up on!!!
Check out our opening weekend locations:
Saturday March 21st: 11-6
Yonge and Summerhill
Sunday March 22nd: 12-5
Liberty Village
Somewhat wiser, a little bit more versed in the ups and downs of mobile retailing and much more prepared, we think 2015 is going to be a smashing great year. We thought we’d share with you some of the exciting things we’re planning this year:
Truck Stops:
We’ve got a few new locations scouted, and we’ll be keeping some of our original spots – make sure to check our instagram and twitter for our locations each day! Have a location you think would be perfect for FTC? Let us know!
Road Trip:
Yup… we’re hoping to take the truck out West this Summer. If you live in Calgary or the surrounding area and would like to book a shopping party in July please email Ashley@fashiontruckcanada.com
New Lines and Labels:
We’re so excited to share with you some of the new lines we’ve picked up this year. Aussie gems The Fifth and Quay Eyewear will be making their official debut this Spring. We think they are oh so fab. And we can’t wait to bring out our Seychelles and Black Orchid Spring collections. Think awesome booties and ripped up jeans. Can’t wait.
Shopping Parties:
We’ve already got a great line-up of private shopping parties booked. If you’re interested in hosting a private party email Ashley@fashiontruckcanada.com to book a date. What could be better than a truck full of clothes, your best friends and wine? No, like we want to know. It literally doesn’t get any better.
Thanks for making year #1 a hit. Can’t wait for 2015 on the truck!
XO
FTC Girls

Nothing says Christmas like freshly baked Thimble Cookies. One of my favourite memories from my childhood Christmas’ are the times spent in the kitchen with my mom baking a slew of cookies. These are my most favourite Christmas Cookies and obviously Deb Dobbie makes them the better then anyone else. I always made sure we left enough for Santa on Christmas eve, and by the look of the plate Christmas morning Santa liked them too.
Recipe:
1/2 cup (125 mL) butter
1/4 cup (60 mL) granulated sugar
1 egg, separated
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla
1 cup (250 mL) all purpose flour
2 tbsp (30 mL) sifted unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup (250 mL) finely chopped walnuts
Deb Dobbie’s Homemade Raspberry Jam (or any delicious jam as a substitute)
Preparation:
In large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg yolk and vanilla. Combine flour with cocoa; gradually blend into creamed mixture. Cover and chill for 30 minutes.
Shape dough into 1-inch (2.5 cm) balls. Dip in lightly beaten egg white; roll in walnuts. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Using finger or greased thimble, make indentation in centre of each ball. Bake in 325°F (160°C) oven for 7 minutes.
Remove from oven and make indentations once more. Bake for 10 minutes longer or until set. Let cool on wire racks. Add droplet of homemade raspberry jam in centre indentation once cookies are cooled.

This year Santa’s going to be one busy man with the items Nicole has on her Wish List…
Trip to Greece
My dream trip is to spend one month in Greece this summer, exploring the breath taking islands and falling in love with a tall, tanned, Greek God (a girl can dream…right)?
GoPro
I love taking videos and pictures to document my trips and adventures; a GoPro is definitely key when capturing all those moments. Plus, it would be perfect for my Greece getaway ;)
Nike Free Trainers
I love working out and staying active. The Nike Free comes in is so many tempting and fun colours – for a fashion loving girl like myself it’s hard to choose! Give me one of each please!
Chanel Boy Bag
Every girl loves bags, my dream bag is the gorgeous Chanel Boy Bag in black and silver.
It is truly perfection!
Nutribullet
It might be time of give up my bulky, loud (and ugly) blender. It wakes up my roommate every morning when making my breakfast smoothies – a Nurtribullet is definitely a must have!
Starbucks Gift Cards
A Starbucks a day keeps the doctor away! My obsession with Starbucks’ coffee is out of control. Gift cards are a great way to still get my fix without breaking the bank.

I’m getting married in the Mayan in April, these will come in handy pool side. Count down!
Suspended Lounger
I’ve always loved curling up in a hammocks. I’d love one of these in my home.
Canon Camera
I love photos, being creative and editing.
Mercedes G-Wagon
it’s on my list but far from reality, like really far.
A Vacation
Mayan sounds good.

Welcome to our blog!
The past few months have been crazy with the launch of our beloved truck. We’ve had some adventures along the way, we’ve learned a lot about trucks (#biggestunderstatementoftheyear) and we’ve met some amazing people throughout our trips and travels.
We want to share everything with you as we embark on this new season and move into this next chapter as we grow and expand our wings (or should we say wheels?).
Come and hitch a ride!
